Mental Health Support Counselors:To be considered as a counselor in the role of Mental Health Support Counselor, you must, at a minimum meet one of the following criteria:
1. An individual with a master's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university with at least one year of clinical experience.
2. A social worker: an individual with at least a bachelor's degree in human services or related field (social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, human services counseling or other degree deemed equivalent to those described) from an accredited college and with at least one year of clinical
experience providing direct services to individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness.
3. A person with at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in an unrelated field that includes at least 15 semester credits (or equivalent) in a human services field and who has at least three years of clinical experience.
4. A person with at least a bachelor's degree in a human service field or special education from an accredited college without one year of clinical experience.

Pathway Counseling Services has started a new division called Pathway to Living. It is a psychosocial rehabilitation program striving to serve the mental health community assisting individuals as they work to regain control of their lives while recovering from mental illness and substance use disorders.
Position Description:
Pathway Counseling Services is seeking motivated individuals to work as Mental Health Clubhouse workers for an exciting and challenging position helping adults with mental illness and behavioral health conditions change their lives and work towards recovery. Recovery Specialists assist clients in a clubhouse site based program to help them develop the skills necessary to manage their illness and achieve their personal recovery goals. Clubhouse workers assist individuals in achieving meaningful, satisfying lives through the development of the skills necessary to live independently, obtain employment, finish their education and have healthy social lives.
Clubhouse Workers help people improve their lives by:
- Assisting people in identifying personal recovery goals, such as completing their education, going back to work or reconnecting with family.
- Teaching people how to manage their symptoms, so that they can recover from mental illness.
- Teaching people skills for wellness including mindfulness, relaxation skills and anger management.
- Helping people develop their personal support systems by reconnecting with family and making new friends.
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field is preferred.
- Good driving record.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organization, computer and time management skills required.
- Must pass a background check.
